97 Grassfed Bulls On Offer

What a vibrant time to be in the beef industry! In particular, the cow/calf producers are reaping the rewards of sticking with the industry.

This years offering of bulls have battled one of our wettest and coldest Manypeaks winters in decades and as a result were behind previous years cohorts as we entered spring. Since then the bulls have thrived in the cool, soft spring and have developed into an exceptionally impressive and even line of bulls.

Most notable new Australian genetics in this year’s catalogue include sires from Texas Angus and Millah Murrah Angus. We feel we have cherry picked bloodlines from both these breed leading herds that will best suit our Western Australian market and conditions.

We have also used a range of USA genetics that offer a range of mating options. We have targeted sires who provide exceptional calving ease to high growth while maintaining our focus on functionality in particular fertility, temperament and foot structure.

And of course there is a large selection of bulls by our own sires, who have been praised for their thickness and overall carcase shape. We think these younger bulls are every bit as good as the big name sires at the beginning of the catalogue and will breed great steers and fertile daughters.

Due to popular demand we have decided to offer yearling bulls for the first time. We have chosen six young bulls out of our elite donor cows mated to exciting new sires including some of the first Sitz Stellar progeny in Australia. We feel we are providing our clients an exceptional opportunity to secure elite genetics from the heart of our program.

2021 saw Koojan Hills pick up a range of awards at the Harvey Beef Gate 2 Plate challenge including Runner Up Overall Challenger. We find this event to be a great benchmarking tool and it was very pleasing to see our genetics perform so well amongst a range of different programs and breeds.

Our sale will feature on AuctionsPlus and we will again be holding our field day to enable you to inspect the bulls in a more leisurely environment.

We look forward to seeing you at our Field Day on Friday 11th February 1pm – 5pm, or on Sale Day on Monday 21st February!
