New Ascot Angus Stud Sire

We will be adding a new stud sire to mix in our 2025 mating program; Ascot Universe U302.

We were fortunate to secure U302 as the top price bull at the Ascot Cattle Bull & Heifer sale for $40,000.

Highly regarded within the Ascot herd he ticks just about all the boxes for us with an outstanding pedigree, phenotype and EBV profile.

A Dunoon Prime Minister son out of a Millah Murrah Paratrooper daughter means this bull is a complete outcross into our program and is a sire line we were keen on tapping into.

We love this young bulls added muscling and skin type and he has all the basics covered: good feet, temperament, large testicles and good sheath.

His EBV profile is very close to perfect for the type of cattle we are trying to breed. Exceptional calving ease to growth spread with a 400 day weight EBV in the top 7% of the breed. A scrotal EBV in the top 2% of the breed and carcase data which is ideal for producing yearling steers for the supermarkets: EMA and fats around the top 10% of the breed and an IMF above average.

We will use this U302 over both heifers and mature cows and can’t wait to see his calves in 2026!
