Through listening to our clients we feel we have put together a catalogue of 75 bulls that meets the needs of commercial cow/calf operations and assists those wanting to capitalise on the great cattle market.
We also run an 800 head commercial herd and pride ourselves on breeding bulls targeting fellow commercial operations.
Quiet, good footed cattle who calve early, easily and can maximise pre-weaning weight off grass. Pretty simple!

One of the features of the 2021 bulls is their short gestation, with 46 bulls below breed average for gestation length. Koojan Hills Bulls average -5.3 for GL, a massive 18% better than the breed average of -4.5.
We have targeted sires that fit this criteria of short gestation, moderate birthweight and good growth. Bulls like Sitz Investment 660Z, Texas Mt Kaputar M100, Granite Ridge Kaiser K26 and homebred sire Koojan Hills Up River N73 who boasts a gestation length EBV of -11.4 which puts him in the top 1% of the breed!
We have 37 bulls with below breed average birth weight, with the overall catalogue of bulls averaging spot on breed average of +4.2.
The bulls then have the explosive growth that our clients require, with 55 of the bulls above breed average for 200 day weight and 54 above breed average for 400 day weight.
Overall the Koojan Hills sale team average +90 for 400 DW, well above Breed Average of +87.

This year’s catalogue of bulls have been praised for their evenness, thickness and overall carcase shape. It is the area we have been working on and this offering consistently reflects that policy.
The bulls are once again entirely grass fed and will only receive oaten hay for the 6 weeks leading up to sale day. They’re in working condition and ready to go! They have been vaccinated for Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis to help prevent early breakdowns and once again we will personally deliver all bulls sold at auction to within 1000km of Manypeaks.
